Custom Cx — Stainless Damascus
Each Carbon Cx Stainless Damascus razor is individually machined and hand finished from custom-forged layered stainless steel. The photographs shown here are examples of pieces we have completed in the past. Because the forged pattern varies throughout the material, every finished razor is different.
These are not produced as conventional inventory. We complete individual pieces in very small numbers and contact interested customers as a razor approaches completion.
Before you are asked to purchase, we will confirm your preferred Cx base plate and available options and send photographs of the actual finished razor for your review.
No deposit. No obligation. If the timing or individual piece isn't right, simply pass.
Forged Stainless Damascus. One Pattern Only.
Our Stainless Damascus is custom forged in the United States from layers of 304 and 316-series stainless steel.
After machining, each Cx component is individually hand sanded and acid etched. The different stainless layers respond differently during etching, revealing the pattern forged throughout the material.
The pattern isn't printed, engraved or applied to the surface. It exists throughout the billet.
As material is removed during machining, a different cross-section of those forged layers is exposed. Two components machined to identical dimensions can therefore reveal completely different lines, waves and intersections.
The geometry is repeatable. The pattern is not.
Built Around the Cx
Stainless Damascus changes the appearance, weight, texture and individuality of the razor. It does not change the precision geometry of the Cx platform.
The selected Cx base plate determines the fundamental shaving characteristics.
Mild (–) | .71 mm
Our mildest option. Recommended for those who prefer less blade feel, shave frequently or have sensitive skin.
Original | .68 mm
The original Cx configuration, with more noticeable blade feel and considerable control through shaving angle.
Plus (+) | .88 mm
A versatile balance of efficiency and reduced blade feel. A strong choice for denser growth or shaving every few days.
Plus Plus (++) | 1.08 mm
Our most efficient option, intended for heavier growth, longer intervals between shaves or those who simply prefer greater efficiency.

These are individual custom pieces rather than mass-produced decorative objects, and the actual razor offered to you will be photographed before purchase.
Caring for Stainless Damascus
After shaving, rinse the razor thoroughly and allow the components to dry.
For periodic cleaning, use warm water, mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush.
Avoid aggressive abrasives or unnecessary polishing compounds on the etched surfaces, as they can alter the contrast and physical relief of the Damascus pattern.
